Hey everyone. I'm sitting inside a HOUSE, awaiting a snow storm..wondering what in God's green and blue earth are we doing on land? We should be in a warm sun-soaked harbour somewhere, anchored......ANCHORED ON A BOAT....NOT, and I repeat NOT "Anchored" in a HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! I should have salt-crusted hair, and Paul should have the choice of wearing shoes or not. I should be wearing a bathing suit on a daily basis, and Paul should be deciding whether or not he'll be throwing out a line for some fish or charging the batteries. Instead, we are working on my paperwork for permanent residency in Canada, at some point buying a home and staying in Canada for a couple of years while my residency goes through. I know that this is important and that we have to do this...but let me tell you folks....it ain't fun. I miss cruising, I miss cruising, I miss cruising. Even the things that use to annoy me on the boat, I'd take in a heartbeat. I'd relish a 5 minute shower in the cockpit ducking down when a dinghy zooms by, so the world doesn't see me in all my glory. Give me the sound of the current gurgling by when I'm trying to sleep in our forward cabin. And sure....icecream in the freezer on land is great, but I miss the joy I got when getting icecream as a treat from a local cafe after a long offshore passage. I'd even take arriving in dense fog with the radar deciding to go "caputskiii" into a super busy port right now. I just want to be back on a boat. It's where Paul and I belong.

Hola Quintanas; Got your message about the mystery boat. That was a tongue in cheeck thing that Suzie did. We all know the "bounced czech" and his Snail. Suzie and I bought our boat from him in '05 and were tied up at the dock behind the Snail for the winter at Tracy's Landing near Deale, MD, about 20 miles south of Annapolis.
